After tripping through the ruins of Knossos, I imagined what it must have been like to experience the aftermath of the Thera volcanic erruption. Did the tsunami of 1650 B.C. crash over the palace? Were the inhabitants able to see the explosion? Did the sky darken for months? This is My depiction of the “Lava Dance” caused by the volcano.
