The trees along Dimokratias Street hugging the walls of the Old Town near the D’Amboise Gate leading to the Grand Master’s Palace spoke Green to Me. The very heights from which the Ottomans bombarded the City of Rhodes in 1522. Flashes of Suleiman’s gold kaftan spirited itself through my Grey Cells and onto this work.
